Beyond Thunderdome - Irish Press review
Here's a review of Thunderdome from the Irish Press newspaper in 1985. After reading it I had to google Heath Robinson to try and understand where this analogy was derived from. It may not have been the intention of the filmakers but the Robinson comparison of the vehicles fits like a glove, intended ,(unlikely), or not. I love all the Mad Max movies, but Thunderdome elicits my pity also. I could list dozens of misfired ideas in it but at almost forty years later, I'll bury my disputes with it and hang on the few moments that it really shines. Here's some Heath Robinson to go with the article.
