So Dredd disappeared rather too quickly from American cinemas and not garnering anything near what it's distributors were hoping for in terms of box-office. Some say with that result also disappears any chance of a sequel to 2000AD's first foray into movies under Rebellion's banner. Too bad that such a negatively pervasive notion is what it's theatrical run prompts in discussion because Dredd is a damn good movie and deserves a sequel. Profits aside this was a successful movie and if you're a fan of 2000AD then you have been well served and all involved should be commended for a hard R rated quality piece of entertainment that embellishes the mythos of it's source material.
