An article about using the RED camera during the shoot of The Book of Eli which will be released on dvd on June 15. I liked this movie a lot. I think its very much a mood piece so once you know the plot the first time round there's a reason to go back to it a second time. I especially liked the smaller self contained scenes outside the main story like the new shoes, muggers on the highway, Tom Wait's storekeeper and the elderly couple at the farmhouse. I found these moments more satisfying and solid than the films (of what I thought it was), central  theme  of the corruption of religious ideals to attain power and control.
