Road Warrior_Alt shot_Defiant victims.

Looking at the first black and white still could this possibly be an alternative take that ended up on the cutting room floor? I've never seen this shot in the film. I'm going to guess that this would be from when Wez chases down Max on the Humungus machine as our two victims are hooded for the tanker chase until they impact it and Tyler Coppin as Defiant Victim seemed to be unconscious at that moment unlike his state in the still. Now look at the second pic which is a behind the scenes shot. I think this is the set up to take the side view shot. The camera car is in relation to the subject to set the lens, lighting and composition. I think that's stills photographer Carolyn Johns beside the camera. The black and white still is probably hers but I imagine that there was a similarly composed shot taken by Semler on film. On the third shot with Mel there seems to be a lot of brush snagged on the front end. Did the Humungus machine go off-road for a moment  tearing through the growth or was the vehicle just doing a turnaround during the shoot? Every film has hundreds of feet of unused footage or alt takes and it would be great to know what KMM's archive policy was towards it. I would love to see their master shots for the discarded flying Cow Car in Thunderdome as I've only seen the bts of it.
